A leading insurance company based in Dubai is looking to hire Unit Head Broker Relations, the candidate should have experience in SME Medical, Broker Relationships, Employee Benefits and Medical Operations

Head – SME Medical (Speciality lines)

• Responsible for liaising and providing high level of service to brokers and clients with the aim of developing the SME portfolio by means of value added services.
• Conducting product presentations internally and externally.
• Handling direct client personally
• Vetting new business quotations/applications
• Identifying market trends and target customers’ needs in order to review and recommend product /service offerings.
• Work in conjunction with Re insurers to aling new market trends for product enhancement and to boost sales.
• Liaise with various channels and operational areas to ensure quality services to SME Medical customers.
• Ensuring Service Level Agreements are met
• Motoring and analyzing Claim Reports to keep a check on the performance of SME Medical groups.
• Ensuring payments are collected duly.
• Ensuring record keeping for all documentation pertaining to SME Medical is in order
• Looking overall after all aspects of the SME Medical Portfolio


Assistant Vice President – Medical (Broker Relationships)

• Responsible for handling 100+ local and international brokers and providing them high level of service to ensure expansion of the portfolio.
• Handling huge portfolios in conjunction with brokers.
• Liaising with underwriters and claims team for smooth workflow process and meeting service level agreements.
• Product presentations to internal sales, brokers and clients.
• Preparing and conducting scheme presentations to clients with aim of providing high service levels.
• Analyzing and evaluating internal work flow process and implementing new strategies and procedures.
• Regularly meeting with brokers and clients to maintain cordial relationships with a view of business development and promote quality services.
• Developing and Training new brokers/agents with a view of expansion of portfolio.
• Working closely with brokers and underwriters to retain existing business and develop new business for both individual and corporate accounts.
• Exploring and understanding new market practices and procedures and implementing procedures as applicable.
• Ensuring premium collection from brokers.
• Developing new brokers.
• Providing high level of services to brokers
Employee Benefits Department.

• Training associates on all products pertaining to health, grouplife and accident insurance.
• Training clients all clients on product and process on regular basis(local and international)
• Handling health insurance portfolio of over AED 60 million and servicing about 55,000 lives.
• Handling day to day operations of the department
• Developing the on line tracking system for clients
• Implementing and controlling new procedures for the smooth workflow.
• Developing and maintaining communications with other departments (IT, Finance, HR & Sales) in order ensure smooth movement of the department
• Ensuring all jobs is completed within time frame.
• Maintaining accurate records on all important matters, including staff performance and discipline, sales plans, etc.
• SPOC between sales consultants and the underwriters and resolving issues at all levels pertaining to new business, renewals and claims settlement.
• Controlling department expenses by improving operations and efficiencies
• Developing associate relationships
• Liaising with Insurance Companies regularly to keep a record of recent developments and encourage cordial relationships.
• Liaising and visiting local and International clients for Business Development & developing new projects/ business successfully in foreign countries
• Preparing and conducting presentations for product information and implementation.
• Preparing Service level and local agreements with International clients.
• Quarterly/Monthly reviews with clients.
• Generating monthly reports.

Head of Department - Medical Operations

• Generating pricing for group policies following pricing procedures
• Preparing monthly premium and claims reports,
• Preparing endorsements on group medical policies.
• Preparing claim analysis for renewal of group companies.
• Maintaining Service Level Agreements
• Managing and Monitoring Medical Insurance portfolio
• Checking, Vetting and underwriting of Medical Insurance Policies
• Forecasting, monitoring and analyzing sales development.
• Implementing new practices and procedures for the enhancement of product.
• Providing professional advice on product to customers.
• Authorization and processing of medical treatment and claims.
• Co-ordinating with medical providers for verification of claims and related queries.
• Co-ordinating with administrator to ensure smooth functioning of the procedures.
• Regular follow up with Brokers/Agents for New business.
• Regular visit to clients with the view of business development
• Generating monthly reports.





•Minimum of five year of experience as Relationship Manager in a UAE insurance company handling the Brokers Channel
• Experience in employee benefits products
• Results-driven
• Demonstrated ability to present, persuade and eventually sell
• Experience in delivering client-focused solutions and in creating long-lasting relationships
• Proven experience as an insurance broker
• BSc degree
