• Work with the Manager to ensure the smooth, safe operation of Little Explorers (LE) Division, and deliver a first-quality guest experience for all visitors

• Being responsible for helping recruit and develop all posts directly reporting to this position.
• Assisting in finalising all Front of House Procedures, including financial procedures as per the company guidelines.
• Supervise the Team leaders, and the team members and ensure the job requirements, Guidelines and regulations are being followed. Coaching of the staff.
• Developing a staff training program to reach high safety standards. Ensure sufficient first aid supplies for kids and general public are available at all times. Ensure all the training and assessment for the staff for H&S is in place and conduced in monthly basis.
• Evolving the staff training program to reach high customer service standards, induction into the company and cultural awareness.
• Organizing a schedule of emergency practices as stated in the EAP (Emergency Action Plan) pre operation and implementation once proven effective.
• Aiding in the development of the Rules & Regulations, Guest Behaviour Guidelines, Standard Operational Procedures and competency criteria for public use of LE.
• Preparing LE Division for overall operational readiness to open and ensuring that it operates at all times within legislative, and insurance requirements.
• Creating and enforcing, reviewing and adjusting of all Front of House procedures including financial procedures as per company guidelines.
• Preparing regular reports on key operational performance indicators (KPI’s)
• Managing and controlling the outsourced cleaning and security, including standards of hygiene, customer service skills, crisis handling and reviewing regular reports generated by contractors.
• Identifying staffing levels and requirements, training staff in their duties, administering and scheduling duty rosters and applying rules and regulations.
• Managing all staff schedules according to the business needs.
• Conducting regular staff briefings to inform them of on-going operational issues, to identify problem areas, and seek solutions to resolve such issues and problems.
• Having direct responsibility for the performance of staff on a monthly/quarterly basis and being able to compile and maintain accurate information per staff member relating to disciplinary and performance issues.
• Supporting the LE Manager in the procurement of equipment and consumables by identifying requirements, sourcing options, determining pricing and availability, arranging delivery, clearing and accepting deliveries and placement of the acquisitions into operation.
• Assisting in the preparation of an annual operating plan and budget for the Operations Department, undertaking cost-benefit analyses for possible amendments, replacement and additions.
• Managing any evacuation process as specified in the EAP. Contacting, coordinating with any hospitals, ambulances, fire brigade regarding the situation.
• Handling any guest complaints in accordance with the LE policy.
• Acting as Duty Manager when so required.
• Supporting and participating in the facility’s events from planning, coordination and execution.
• Other related tasks as required.

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)
• Personable with excellent people skills.
• Fluent in English, a second language an advantage.
• I.T. literate
• A demonstrable passion for customer service and the quality of the guest experience.
• An innovative mind with an eye for detail.

Minimum experience
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in the area of children museums, holiday camps, leisure centers, education bodies or nurseries
• Health and safety training.
• Qualified first aider.
• Knowledge of teaching methods.

• Degree holder or other recognizable professional qualification
